Greatest American Tounrnament down to the Final Four
After a week of contests, the Harwich High AP US Government class has completed four rounds of the Greatest American Tournament. Each group of students ran one round in each bracket. For the semifinals, the class will be split in half for the semifinals, and the whole class will vote in the final.

HHS AP US Goverment is Holding a Tournament to Determine the Greatest American Ever
The Harwich High School Advanced Placement United States Government class is holding a tournment to determine the Greatest American Ever. (AKA The Inconceivable American History Bracketology Xplojun)

Our Procedure:
1. Establish criteria/rubric
_a. Most Positive Influential Americans in History
_b. Must be American citizens
_c. Based on period 1776-present
_d. Write rubric categories and content
2. Nominate candidates
3. Vote on Each Candidate
4. Narrow field to 64 based on votes
5. Establish seeding based on votes
6. Final chance to revise the bracket and rubric
7. Hold the Tournament
_a. Discuss procedure as a class
_b. Break into four groups (at least 4 in each group) to hold contests
__i. ~2-3 contests per group each day
__ii. Split into 2 groups to rate each contestant on the rubric
__iii. Research the most accurate rubric ratings (internet, texts, etc.)
__iv. Compare scores
__v. Tie-breakers
____1. previous round scores (doesn’t apply first round)
____2. vote of the whole class
_c. different groups handle each bracket in different rounds
_d. Final Four – half-class on semi-finals, full class on final
8. Publish/publicize results
